We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the University of Oxford as an
Apprentice Finance Assistant in the Humanities Division. You will join their
shared service team of finance colleagues where you will gain first-hand
experience for the day-to-day transactional and finance tasks that underpin
the operations of the Division and the faculties within it.





The Humanities Division is one of four academic divisions in the University of
Oxford, bringing together nine faculties and the Ruskin School of Art. Our
faculties are among the largest in the world, enabling Oxford to offer an
education in Arts and Humanities unparalleled in its range of subjects, from
music and fine art to ancient and modern languages.





**About the apprenticeship**



As part of this role, you will undertake an Apprenticeship with Abingdon and
Witney College, where you will complete a Level 3 Accounts and Finance
Assistant Intermediate Apprenticeship and you will gain an Association of
Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 3 Foundation Certificate accounting
qualification.





For this apprenticeship, you will work at the Humanities Divisional Office and
other faculties where required. As part of your apprenticeship, you will be
required to attend Abingdon or Witney College. During your apprenticeship, you
will need to attend Abingdon OR Witney campus one day a week (term time only).





In total, it will take 16 months to complete all elements of the
apprenticeships including your End Point Assessments (EPA), with support from
the Department, University, and College throughout.

**About you**



You will be passionate about starting your career in Finance and excited about
the opportunity of becoming an apprentice at the University of Oxford. You may
be starting your career or you may be looking for a career change with an
interest in accounting and finance.





To complete the level 3 apprenticeship you will need to evidence passes at 9-4
or A*-C in GCSE Maths and English. If you did not achieve these grades, do not
let that put you off from applying as you can study Functional Skills as part
of the apprenticeship giving you the equivalent qualifications needed. These
qualifications are completed over 7 days. To help check that you have the
potential to achieve these, Abingdon and Witney will ask you to complete a
short initial assessment during the application process.





There are also government residency requirements for Apprenticeship funding
which the Training Provider will be able to advise on.

You will receive 38 days’ annual leave inclusive of Bank Holiday and fixed
