Shelving Assistant (Variable Hours) – 2 posts

We are seeking two variable hours Shelving Assistants who will mainly work
during term-time in the iconic and busy Radcliffe Camera, which houses the
History Faculty Library and Bodleian English and History undergraduate
collections.
You will be required to re-sensitise returned books, sort them for re-shelving
and finally place them back on the shelf. The work is physical but also
requires a good eye for detail and accuracy as well as the ability to work
independently.
This is a permanent, as-required post. The postholders will mainly work during
term-time (week 0-8), Monday-Friday.
You will be required to submit a supporting statement as part of your
application. Your supporting statement should list each of the essential and
desirable selection criteria, as shown in the job description, and explain how
you meet each one. CVs will not be considered.
Only applications received online before 12:00 midday (GMT/BST) on Wednesday 1
September 2021 can be considered. Interviews are expected to take place on
Monday 20 September 2021.
