<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>An opportunity for a full-time Support Technician has arisen to provide in-house services to the Department of Computer Science ensuring that the building and facilities are maintained to a high standard.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Reporting to the Facilities Manager and Senior Support Technician, you will be required to co-ordinate, assist and provide day-to-day support during building alterations, room moves and refurbishments in addition to the planned maintenance activities.&#160; You will have a &#8216;can do&#8217; attitude to general &#8216;handyman&#8217; duties for repairs and minor works.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>We are seeking applicants with experience in building maintenance including small building projects, and who are familiar with Health and safety legislation and with current COSHH and Manual Handling Regulations. You will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, in Maths and English. &#160;&#160;1BTEC National Certificate or equivalent in a relevant discipline and IT literacy, including use of Microsoft Office and demonstrable aptitude for learning new IT systems are desirable.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>The closing date for applications is 12 noon on 14 January 2022. &#160;</strong></div><br> <div><strong>Interviews are expected to be held in late January or early February.</strong></div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>We are a Stonewall Top 100 Employer, Living Wage and Mindful Employer, holding an Athena Swan Bronze Award, HR excellence in Research and Race Equality Charter Bronze Award.</strong></div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Our staff and students come from all over the world and we proudly promote a friendly and inclusive culture.
