<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>This post will be fixed-term until 28 February 2025, and it is anticipated that the appointee will start on 1 March 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Applications are invited for a part-time (0.8 FTE) Postdoctoral Research Assistant to work with Professor Dirk Van Hulle and his Co-Investigator Dr Mark Nixon on the project &#8216;Editing Beckett: Towards a Bilingual Digital Genetic Edition of Samuel Beckett&#8217;s Works&#8217;.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The post holder will be a member of a research team developing a digital genetic edition of Beckett&#8217;s works, and will have particular responsibility for the edition of the TV plays. They will create the transcription and encoding of the manuscripts in TEI-XML; assist the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator in the editorial work of the project; and will have the opportunity to publish a monograph on the making of Beckett&#8217;s TV plays.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The successful candidate will have a PhD/DPhil in a relevant field, strong knowledge and understanding of Beckett&#8217;s works, and will show a demonstrable interest in digital scholarly editing.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Further particulars (which all applicants must consult) are available via the link below.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Applications (which should include a CV and a supporting statement explaining your suitability for the post) must be made online via the link below by <strong>12 noon</strong> on <strong>Friday 17 December 2021</strong>.&#160; You will be asked to upload a CV, and supporting statement. &#160;Please ensure all documents are uploaded as PDF files.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Interviews will be held online on in the <strong>week commencing 10 January 2022</strong>.</div> </div>
