<div>Applications are invited for a part-time (0.8 FTE) Postdoctoral Research Assistant to work with Professor Dirk Van Hulle and his Co-Investigator Dr Mark Nixon on the project ‘Editing Beckett: Towards a Bilingual Digital Genetic Edition of Samuel Beckett’s Works’.</div><br>

<div>The post holder will be a member of a research team developing a digital genetic edition of Beckett’s works, and will have particular responsibility for the edition of the TV plays. They will create the transcription and encoding of the manuscripts in TEI-XML; assist the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator in the editorial work of the project; and will have the opportunity to publish a monograph on the making of Beckett’s TV plays.</div><br>

<div>The successful candidate will have a PhD/DPhil in a relevant field, strong knowledge and understanding of Beckett’s works, and will show a demonstrable interest in digital scholarly editing.</div><br>
