Student Funding Officer

The Faculty of Law is looking to appoint a Student Funding Officer. This is a
new role to support a range of student finance processes in the Law Faculty,
including the administration of various graduate scholarship schemes
(including needs-based hardship awards); the provision of supporting
information for fundraising purposes; and the processing of a large number of
student prizes and bursary payments. The postholder will report to the Finance
Manager, and will work very closely with the Academic Administrator, and from
time to time with the Development Director.
Applicants must have proven experience of comparable financial administration;
ability to summarise, analyse and understand financial data; excellent IT
skills; a good general level of education; effective interpersonal and
communication skills; ability to produce accurate work even under pressure;
capacity to understand a range of funder rules and University financial
requirements, and to apply these accurately and convey them to colleagues in
an effective way. Experience of using Oracle Financials and using Excel pivot
tables to manipulate data is desirable.
This is a full time, permanent post and the postholder will be based at the
Faculty of Law, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford, OX1 3UL.
