**About the role**

The Faculty of Theology and Religion is seeking to appoint a Departmental
Lecturer in Christian Ethics. This is a full-time 1-year fixed-term post, from
1 September 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The post will provide the opportunity to undertake teaching and research in
Christian ethics / moral theology. You will have access to a Faculty research

the potential for producing distinguished research. You will have excellent
communication skills and the ability to teach undergraduates to a high

evidence of academic initiative and collaborative work.

The duties and skills required are described in more detail in the further
particulars.

If, for any reason, you have taken a career break or have had an atypical

will take this into account. The selection committee will also be mindful of
the impact that the Covid-19 pandemic may have had on candidates’ careers as a
result of additional caring responsibilities or other factors.

**Application process**

Informal enquiries about the post can be directed to Professor Nigel Biggar
nigel.biggar@chch.ox.ac.uk.

Applications are to be submitted online. You will be required to upload a
supporting statement, a CV and a 500-word proposal for a research agenda for
the duration of the post.

The closing date for applications is midday on Thursday 7 July. Interviews
will be held on Monday 18 July.
