The Mosaic platform, which currently supports upwards of 800 sites, is used by clients University-wide to build websites in support of public engagement, outreach, administration, and research dissemination. The React/Node.js applications provide specific systems to the University’s museums, humanities and administrative units. This role is one within a dynamic and friendly team of 5 developers, 2 functional analysts and a Platforms Manager working on delivery of major initiatives and ongoing services for system development and maintenance. This role is for an experienced developer who is able to use their experience and creativity to make a positive contribution within the team. As a highly skilled Web developer able to collaborate effectively with a wide variety of people across disciplines, the post holder will be responsible for the development of the platforms’ projects and services as well as delivering key engineering improvements. The post holder should have a background in the full lifecycle of web and application development and ideally will also have experience with source control, as well as being versed in continuous integration workflows and methodology. As a senior developer, the post-holder will be expected to develop a thorough knowledge of the web platforms, be a source of technical expertise to the team, and take a pivotal role in the technical design, coding and testing of new features, enhancements and fixes.
