We have an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Oncology as a Senior Teaching Fellow.

 

You will play an important role primarily to provide educational leadership to our academic staff involved in the delivery of our two year online taught MSc in Precision Cancer Medicine.  This is an exciting time to join the Department as we are committed to leading the provision of graduate education to build capacity of the future leaders in this field.

 

For this role we are looking for someone with a doctoral level qualification in a relevant area and postgraduate teaching qualification or HEA fellowship. The successful candidate will have significant experience in teaching and supporting learning within Universities or HEIs including programme or course management experience and dissertation supervision.

 

You will be responsible for delivering lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials on the MSc in Precision Cancer Medicine and manage the Virtual Learning Environment (Canvas) for allocated course(s) to ensure content and presentation is high quality and professional.

 

This is a full time post available on a 3-year fixed term contract

 

 

You will need a PhD/DPhil in a suitable area e.g. precision medicine, genomics, bioinformatics or another statistical/analytical discipline, and have a teaching qualification (e.g. PGCert, FHEA) or commitment to achieve within an agreed time frame. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with a large number of diverse academic staff to facilitate the delivery of post-graduate teaching.
