Reporting to the Changing Global Orders Co-Directors, Professor Louise Fawcett and Professor Andrew Hurrell, the post holder will be a member of a research programme working independently to provide research support and research administration support for the programme’s work, especially concerning comparative regionalism, regional institutions, and the changing role of regions within global order. Administrative support will include events/publications planning and organization. The post is intended to provide an opportunity for a doctoral researcher with training and expertise in international Relations and an active research interest in regionalism, global governance/global order, and international institutions. The post is integral to the wider project, ‘Changing Global Orders’, pursued as a collaboration between the DPIR, the History Faculty and the Oxford Martin School (OMS). The programme is led by Professors Patricia Clavin (Professor of Modern History) and Andrew Thompson (Professor of Global and Imperial History), and Professors Louise Fawcett (Professor of International Relations) and Andrew Hurrell (Professor of International Relations). The Department of Politics and International Relations Politics and International Relations at Oxford University have a long and distinguished history in the education of leading figures in academia, politics, the media and public life, both in the UK and internationally. Teaching and research activities in this area were combined in 2000 to create a Department of Politics and International Relations.
