Fetal Monitoring Research Manager

The Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health (NDWRH) have an
exciting opportunity for a Fetal Monitoring Research Manager.
Reporting to Professor Georgieva, the post holder will be responsible for the
management and co-ordination of the LEAP grant which includes developing,
implementing and monitoring project plans and timetables and ensuring the
delivery of work programmes. Excellent attention to detail is critical to this
role. In addition, the post holder will liaise with stakeholders, funders and
other partner organisations to ensure delivery of outputs is achieved on time
and on budget and is compliant with the relevant protocols.
The suitable candidate will hold a degree in a biomedical, engineering,
computing or associate subject. In the absence of a degree, the post holder
must have a relevant qualification. The candidate will need to have project
management experience and skills, particularly in projects across multiple
sites; be able to successfully drive progress in complex situations and be
able to navigate team dynamics. Therefore, the post holder must be self-
motivated, enthusiastic, an excellent communicator and have the ability to
work independently as well as in a team.
The aim of the project is to reduce stillbirth rates globally. Our project is
developing novel wearable sensors for fetal monitoring in pregnancy. We
develop state-of-the-art image analysis algorithms for automatic, continuous
monitoring of the fetus in utero, that enable the early identification of the
onset of fatal deterioration and guide clinical interventions.
The post is offered on a full-time, fixed term basis and may also be offered
as a secondment opportunity. The post is available as soon as possible and is
fixed until 30th September 2025.
**Please note: Suitable candidates with less experience may be considered and
appointed at the lower grade 7 with a view to working towards a grade 8
position.**
