We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on a Wellcome Trust-funded project to Prof Heidi Johansen-Berg, in collaboration with Prof Tim Behrens, investigating a hierarchical representation of sequences in human entorhinal cortex. You will collect and analyse various types of data including single-unit recordings from epilepsy patients, fMRI and MEG data from healthy volunteers.

 

You will join the laboratory of Dr Tim Behrens at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Oxford. Research in the lab focuses on the cross-species understanding of the brain mechanisms underlying flexible behaviour.

 

The successful candidate will have completed, or be near to completing, a PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g. Neuroscience) as well as hold a first MSc degree in a relevant discipline. They will also have expert knowledge of the field of hierarchical representations as well as experience in analysing single cell and MEG data and with MATLAB/Python. Experience in experimental design and data analysis using representational similarities on human single cell and fMRI data is desirable.
