We are looking for a Research Assistant to work in the Bone Oncology Research and Radionuclide Therapy research groups, led by Prof. Claire Edwards and Dr. Ed O’Neil respectively. You will be based in the Botnar Research Centre and the Radiobiological Research Institute, University of Oxford, as your normal places of work. You will work as part of an enthusiastic team on projects investigating metabolic crosstalk and radionuclide treatment in the prostate cancer-bone microenvironment, identifying key mechanisms controlling prostate cancer bone metastasis. The post is funded by the MRC and Prostate Cancer Foundation.

 

About you 

It is essential that you hold a degree in a medical/biological subject or equivalent, and have previous research experience, ideally in a similar research field. Experience with murine models and cell biology techniques are essential, and experience with prostate cancer cells or bone cells is highly desirable. Prior experience with open-source radiation is not required, but a willingness to handle open-sources of ionisation is essential.  Good organisational skills, inter-personal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are essential.
