Responsibilities The consultant will report to the Director of Graduate Admissions and Recruitment and to Dr James Robson, Department of Education. The consultant will work with the Graduate Admissions and Recruitment Office and the Department of Education to develop a high-quality evaluation programme for the graduate access activities currently run by the University, in particular UNIQ+ research internships, initiatives to contextualise admissions, and the Close the Gap project, which is run jointly with the University of Cambridge. 1. Shape and produce a comprehensive, evidence-based evaluation framework for the University’s graduate access initiatives to measure the success and impact of existing initiatives in line with their aims and objectives. 2. Map existing access interventions, and assess evaluation questions identifying gaps and recommendations for future improvement 3. Develop a robust quantitative analysis for existing admissions and access data, including formative and summative evaluation, and train where possible existing staff in using the quantitative framework put in place 4. Consider and analyse existing qualitative data, and make recommendations for analysis and development 5. Consider longer term evaluation questions and identify existing internal and external datasets that could be used to measure progress 6.
