The Skoll Centre, which sits within Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, has a 20-year history of equipping entrepreneurial leaders for impact within and beyond business. Our success has attracted renewed funding which will enable us to extend our work beyond social entrepreneurship.

 

Our new strategy involves developing research-led insights on how to lead, organise, finance, measure, and scale systemic change, which will fuel learning programmes for students at Oxford and entrepreneurial leaders globally. The strategy is underpinned by a new organisational structure, and we are now looking for five people to complete that structure. To ensure we do this in a coherent and effective way, we are advertising three senior posts first, with two junior posts to be published shortly.

The Deputy Director is a key leadership role responsible for supporting the Academic Director in developing and operationalising the Skoll Centre's strategy. Key responsibilities:


  • Oversee day-to-day non-academic management and administration, ensuring alignment with the academic mission and strategic goals.

  • Proactively identify and cultivate relationships with potential funding partners and contributors.

Research initiatives and educational programmes • This area of accountability involves supporting the translation of research into practice through the development of thought leadership outputs as well as educational programmes, as well as ensuring holistic impact measurement and reporting, to capture and convey the Centre’s impact to key stakeholders. • Working closely with the Academic Director, the Deputy Director will line manage the Research and Insights Manager, helping to ensure there are strong ties and effective communication between Centre staff and affiliated academic researchers. Through these avenues we will develop compelling thought leadership outputs such as reports, case studies, playbooks, seminars, podcasts, and more. • In line managing the Impact Education Manager, the Deputy Director will ensure that our existing programmes for postgraduate students remain innovative, high quality, and financially viable, whilst creating opportunities for new programmes that advance our mission by serving not just students at Oxford, but also learners globally.
