If so we have a great opportunity to join our PA and Professional Services Team in the Department of Materials based within the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division at the University of Oxford on a temporary basis. The Department is one of nine within the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division, and one of world’s leading materials teaching and research institutions. You’ll become a key team member, working as part of a motivated Professional Services Team with the opportunity to build your skills and career within the Department and Division. This is a varied role, where you will be responsible for supporting key administrative activities and senior academic staff directly. This is inclusive but not limited to diary management, servicing meetings and events, as well as providing communications and research grant support. The post currently supports the Statutory Chair in Materials Modelling directly and research projects, most notably the Faraday Institution CATMAT project. It also supports the Programme Manager for the Henry Royce Institute at the University of Oxford with communications activities. We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic individual with a genuine interest in administration to join the department in a full time, temporary maternity cover post for 9 months from July 2024 (ideally the week commencing 17 July 2024). You will be familiar with working independently and as part of a wider team. You’ll be confident in dealing with staff queries, have a hands-on approach and be willing to support the wider Professional Services Teams when required. Training will be in place to support you and help you develop in the role.
