Responsibilities The post-holder will be required to teach on the School’s education programmes with a focus on organisational behaviour and technology and operations management. A candidate with an appropriate profile and experience might also be asked to contribute to programme direction and coordination. The post-holder will be managed by the Academic Area Head (Education) of the relevant area, in consultation with the Director of Undergraduate Studies. Key responsibilities include: Teaching, Learning, Curriculum design and assessment 1. Provide teaching to undergraduate and graduate students in the School or in nominated College/s. This includes marking, assessment and examination work, and provision of timely feedback to students. 2. Develop and introduce a range of pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning which are innovative to extend the intellectual understanding in the relevant disciplinary areas which create interest and understanding amongst students and reflect developing practice elsewhere, e.g. case studies and exercises. Gather evidence from staff and students in order to prepare reviews of academic activity. Collaborate with colleagues to identify and respond to students’ needs. 3. Provide pastoral support to students, liaising with other staff as required. 4. Supervise students preparing dissertations in appropriate cases (if applicable). 5. Assist with the organisation of teaching within the School. 6. Set and mark internal college exams (‘Collections’) at the start of each term. 7.
