About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the  Children's Research Team in the Department of Paediatrics as our Clinical Trials Assistant.

 

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills who can work flexibly to support our research team in the Neonatal Unit.

 

You will be working in a growing department within the Medical Sciences Division. The Department of Paediatrics is a world leader in child health research and hosts internationally renowned research programmes in drug development, gastroenterology, haematology, HIV, immunology, neuroimaging, neuromuscular diseases and vaccinology.

 

This position is offered part time (0.6 FTE) on a maternity cover contract.

 

The working week will be shaped by study schedules, administrative processes and meetings that are scheduled. Your base will be the at the Neonatal Unit, Women’s Centre, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford but you may be required to visit the Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospitals sites which are within a 20 mins walking distance.

The role The Clinical Trials Assistant is responsible for the effective and efficient day-to-day administration of research studies, working closely with the Children’s Research Team managers and nurses. The Clinical Trial Assistant is also required to carry out varied office duties and specific study related tasks and acts as a pivotal point of contact for the Children’s Research Teams, based across the Neonatal Unit and Children’s Hospital, Oxford. The Children’s Research Team The Children’s Research Team have been established for over 10 years and work within the Children’s Directorate of the Neurosciences, Orthopaedics, Trauma, Specialist Surgery, Children's and Neonates Division at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
