Research Nurse for EndoCaRe Group

Join the Endometriosis Care Centre Oxford (EndoCaRe) at the Nuffield
Department of Women’s & Reproductive Health as a Research Nurse. In this role,
you will play a vital part in recruiting participants for various clinical
studies at the John Radcliffe Hospital and other hospitals in Oxfordshire.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the daily clinical and
administrative tasks of multiple studies, screening potential participants,
processing biological samples, and maintaining accurate records.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual with excellent
communication skills to build strong relationships with patients, researchers,
and support staff. You will act as a point of reference for inquiries about
research projects, facilitate the informed consent process, and provide
ongoing support to participants. Collaboration with other research nurses and
lab teams will be essential for collecting, processing, and storing samples.
Your role will also involve maintaining recruitment and screening logs,
entering sample collection results into research databases, and attending
departmental meetings. You will manage laboratory stock, assist with
deliveries, and help develop recruitment strategies to maximize participant
enrollment. Compliance with health and safety regulations, data protection
laws, and a willingness to work outside normal hours when necessary are also
key aspects of this position.

To apply for this position, you should have a degree in nursing or midwifery,
along with an interest or experience in research studies. You must be a
registered general midwife or nurse with significant post-registration
experience in midwifery or nursing. Strong communication skills, enthusiasm,
and a collaborative spirit are essential, as is a proactive approach to
identifying and solving problems, as well as improving study protocols.
Attention to detail and the ability to follow written procedures are crucial
for managing studies and recording results. You should possess excellent
organisational and IT skills, along with reliability and flexibility.
Additionally, you need to be adaptable in organising your working hours to
meet operational needs, including the possibility of working on selected
weekends and traveling to different sites.
