These include short one-day courses open to the public, immersive longerformat summer schools, full-time Pre-Master’s courses, and specialised professional development courses. Each course is tailored to meet the needs of lifelong learners, graduate students and professionals seeking to enhance their skills, and anyone with a keen interest in expanding their knowledge across various disciplines. Working in support of the Marketing Campaigns Manager, the Marketing and Communications Team and the Professional and Open Access Courses team in the achievement of marketing and recruitment objectives, you will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative marketing campaigns across a range of media, to include web communications, SEO, online and offline advertising and email marketing campaigns. You will be expected to use your own initiative in order to make significant contributions to the process of developing effective marketing strategies for Professional and Open Access courses in order to meet specific recruitment targets. Using a range of analytics tools, you will monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns to determine their return on investment and guide future campaigns. You’ll be expected to organise your time constructively to manage your own projects and liaise regularly with the Professional and Open Access courses team and Marketing and Communications team as needed. As the role provides a varied portfolio of work, it will suit somebody aiming to develop a wide range of marketing skills. Responsibilities Marketing campaign support           To use your initiative and take responsibility for creating, executing and delivering creative marketing campaigns for specific courses including PPC (Google Ads campaigns, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn Paid Campaigns), display advertising, and other marketing activities as part of integrated marketing communications. Assist in the creation of engaging content for social media channels to effectively support the POAC marketing campaigns. Working independently to create and monitor the effectiveness of email campaigns in line with course marketing strategies, working to deadlines and on own initiative. Use a variety of analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) and data from our enrolments database, to create marketing reports to monitor and evaluate effectiveness of marketing activities in promoting our brand and engaging relevant target groups. To gather market intelligence to identify new ways to communicate with target audiences. This may include monitoring competitors' efforts and taking an active role in internal data gathering and analysis. To work effectively with and brief external graphic designers for digital and printed materials and to use Canva or similar to create on-brand assets as required. To take part in events promoting the Department and to contribute to developing and implementing communication plans for online engagement. To arrange and attend photo shoots to ensure engaging and relevant images that can be used in marketing activities. Regularly review the quality, accuracy and timeliness of website content, particularly where it relates to search engine optimisation and keyword optimisation for Google Ads campaigns. To work independently to achieve results and ensure that marketing campaigns are delivered on time and on budget. Marketing Administration     To support the Marketing and Communications Team with administrative and events support relating to Professional and Open Access courses marketing as needed. To develop effective communications with advertisers in order to book, schedule and submit copy on time for print and online advertising. To produce and maintain systems of monitoring and tracking of all marketing campaigns (offline and online) and checking their effectiveness via Google Analytics and other data sources. To take an active role in processing of marketing financial records (purchase orders and invoices).  To undertake any other duties as required by the Marketing Campaigns Manager or Head of Marketing and Communications. The Department runs courses and hosts students and guests outside of normal office hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. There is an expectation that staff will occasionally need to work additional hours to support the smooth running of the Department and its activities.
