The Blavatnik School of Government is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Digital Content and Production Assistant to join our External Relations team.

 

About the role

If you are looking to grow your experience in digital communications and multimedia production, and want to be in a fast-paced, dynamic and high-profile environment, working alongside some of the world’s smartest thinkers, this is the role for you. You will share the School’s values, bringing energy, enthusiasm and a sharp intellect to the role. 

Reporting to our Digital and Multimedia Manager, the Digital Content and Production Assistant will support the development and delivery of digital content, multimedia projects, and communications campaigns. This role will involve a balance of administrative coordination and hands-on production support, helping ensure our content is delivered effectively and to a high standard.

 

About you

You will have knowledge and experience of managing web content, with strong attention to detail, and experience working with CMS platforms, ideally Drupal. Familiarity with HTML and CSS will be essential. You will have an understanding of copyright and GDPR regulations for websites and digital content. A self-starter, with experience of fast-moving and demanding environments, comfortable adjusting plans and approaches to accommodate new opportunities. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and discretion, and experience of liaising effectively with individuals at all levels.

You will work as part of the External Relations team across many of its functions, including web and other digital communications, print publications, and internal communications. You will build good relations with the School’s faculty and students. A strong grasp of the written word and strict attention to detail are essential. You will also undertake day-to-day administrative tasks, so willingness and diligence in the face of routine duties is critical. Responsibilities Website content management • Support the Digital and Multimedia Manager to ensure all website content is up-todate, accurate, and meets accessibility standards and assist with routine checks and updates of website content. • Assist in managing permissions and credits for digital assets, ensuring proper attribution. • Support the team in sourcing and using quality images and videos, including stock images. • Store, tag, and retrieve images and other assets efficiently across multiple platforms, including the web CMS, Canva, and digital asset management systems. • Support the Digital and Multimedia Manager in website evaluation, reporting and analytics to measure engagement and accessibility performance. Print production • Work on the production of school publications, such as annual reports, development reports, and marketing materials. • Assist with typesetting academic papers for website publication, ensuring they comply with accessibility good practice. • Assist with layout and design tasks for internal publications, marketing materials and templates, ensuring alignment with branding guidelines. General responsibilities • Support the Digital and Multimedia Manager and other team members in day-today digital and web tasks. • Provide administrative support as needed, including file organisation and version control. • Collaborate with teams across the organisation to ensure effective content management and asset usage.
