The Oxford BHF Centre of Research Excellence (Oxford BHF CRE) Transition
Fellowships Programme aims to support and develop outstanding postdoctoral
researchers with either a basic science or clinical background
(https://www.cardioscience.ox.ac.uk/bhf-centre-of-research-excellence/funding-
opportunities/transition-research-fellowships). The fellowships are for two
years, supporting the researchers’ transition to securing highly competitive
external funding opportunities, and their emerging independence in a field
that will add value to the Oxford cardiovascular research programme.
Applications are invited in any of the four Oxford BHF CRE research themes.
The proposed research project will be hosted by a cardiovascular research
group at the University of Oxford, and should be developed in liaison with a
sponsor who is an Oxford BHF CRE Principal Investigator (PI). A list of BHF
CRE Research Themes and all Principal Investigators are listed on the Oxford
Cardiovascular Science website: https://www.cardioscience.ox.ac.uk/bhf-centre-
of-research-excellence.
Prospective candidates are encouraged to make informal enquiries to Professor
