Research Fellow and Engineering Manager

We are seeking a full-time Research Fellow and Engineering Manager to join the
Turbomachinery Research Group and the Oxford Thermofluids Institute, within
the Department of Engineering Science based at the Southwell Lab, Osney Mead.
This is a permanent position.
You will be primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all
facilities and engineering aspects of the Southwell Research Laboratory. You
will work closely with the Donald Shultz Professor of Turbomachinery as well
as the Deputy Administrator (Buildings & Facilities) and will be responsible
for the line management of workshop and maintenance technicians.
You will also be expected to contribute to the research activities of the
laboratory, managing your own academic research and administrative activities
whilst providing technical expertise for the turbomachinery research group,
heat transfer and cooling research.
You should possess a doctorate in a relevant field and have excellent
communication and organisational skills, with an open and friendly approach.
