Administrator & PA

Applications for this vacancy closed on 6 October 2023 at 12:00PM
We are looking for an Administrator & PA to join the Ashmolean Museum’s
Conservation Department - a highly motivated, professional and friendly team.

You will be providing an effective and efficient administrative service and
personal assistant support primarily for the Ashmolean’s Conservation
Department and Head of Conservation with some further support for the Digital
Collections team and Ashmolean Directorate. This will include managing
enquiries, preparing budgets, organizing meetings and events, and liaising
across all departments of the museum. You will have excellent administrative,
organisational and interpersonal skills with experience of financial systems
and be able to work well independently and as part of a team.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 36.5 hours per week. Flexible

work) to support the department’s activities.

This role will involve some manual handling - all necessary health and safety
training will be provided.

Our staff and students come from all over the world, and we proudly promote a
friendly and inclusive culture. Diversity is positively encouraged, through
diverse groups and champions, as well as a number of family-friendly policies,
such as the right to apply for flexible working and support for staff
returning from periods of extended absence, for example shared parental leave.

University employees are also eligible to join the relevant pension scheme for
their role. Further information on the University’s staff benefits for both
work and personal life can be found here: https://hr.admin.ox.ac.uk/staff-
benefits

**You will be required to upload your CV and a supporting statement/supporting
evidence form as part of your online application.** Your supporting
statement/supporting evidence form should list each of the essential and
desirable selection criteria, as listed in the job description, and explain
how you meet each one.

We aim to provide a supportive working environment and are happy to discuss
training and professional development opportunities. The Chair of this
recruitment panel will be Daniel Bone, Head of Conservation, who can be
contacted with enquiries relating to the role (daniel.bone@ashmus.ox.ac.uk).
General queries about the recruitment and application process should be
directed to the Recruitment team within our Human Resources department
(recruitment@ashmus.ox.ac.uk).

Only applications received online by 12.00 midday (BST/GMT) on Friday 6
October 2023 can be considered. Interviews are expected to take place on
Monday 23 October 2023.
