We are seeking an enthusiastic, well-trained and self-motivated Postdoctoral
Research Assistant to take a pivotal role in conducting research on
cholangiocarcinoma (CCA), based at the John Radcliffe Hospital, University of
Oxford.
The post holder should have an interest in studying the interaction between
normal cholangiocytes (NCCs) and CCA cells in the tumour immune
microenvironment, as well as evaluating the effects of epigenetic inhibitors
on CCA growth in vitro and in vivo. The post-holder must hold a Ph.D. degree
in cancer biology and immunology. You will report to Dr. Shijie Cai and work
with limited supervision, utilising molecular cell biology and immunology
techniques, along with prior experience in bioinformatics analysis, to
successfully achieve the project's objectives. Effective workload management
and meeting deadlines are essential skills. You should also be capable of
working within a team and be prepared to train postgraduate students and
visiting fellow researchers in research techniques for their projects. An
strong track record of previous publications and excellent communication
skills are required
This position is fixed-term for 12 months (conditional on start date prior to
22nd February 2024), with the potential renewal contingent on satisfactory
research project progression and funding availability. Funding for this
position is provided by the Alan Morement Memorial Foundation.
