Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Imaging (using Machine Learning at Population Scale)

The Radcliffe Department of Medicine (RDM) with its Division of Cardiovascular
Medicine, and the Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH), with its
Big Data Institute (BDI), all at the Medical Sciences Division, University of
Oxford, are seeking to appoint an Associate Professor of Cardiovascular
Imaging using Machine Learning at Population Scale, from as early a date as
can be arranged. This will be a joint appointment between both departments,
formally held in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Radcliffe Department
of Medicine, and primarily based in the Big Data Institute. The post is
associated with Keble College and the successful candidate will hold a non-
tutorial Fellowship at the College.
We seek an innovative scientist (clinical or non-clinical) to join our world-
class cardiovascular research. You will have a PhD, proven expertise in
machine learning and computer vision, and a track record of applying advanced
quantitative methods to analyse complex medical imaging and health data. You
will bring expertise in data science, with emphasis on developing and applying
new methods in machine learning for large-scale analysis of imaging and other
health-related data sets, with the ultimate goal of improving cardiovascular
outcomes. You will also have a track record of collegiality, and a culturing
supportive and diverse working environment. The RDM/CVM and NDPH/BDI provide
an outstanding, supportive environment for research in this area, and you will
contribute to the furthering academic excellence and the development of
translational research within these departments.
