<p></p><div>The Department of Engineering Science intends to appoint two full-time Departmental Lecturers in Mechanical Engineering to join the Solid Mechanics and Materials Engineering Group to commence as soon as possible. The successful candidates will work at the Department of Engineering Science (Central Oxford, OX1 3PJ). The posts are fixed-term for a duration of four years.</div><br>

<div>The post holders will engage in advanced study and academic research, lecture and teach undergraduate and graduate students, and contribute to the teaching, research, and academic administration of the Department in the broad field of Mechanics of Materials. They will lead independent research projects or specific areas of research within a broad programme.</div><br>

<div>The successful candidates will hold a PhD/DPhil in a relevant field, with post qualification research experience at a higher level, including a strong publication record, the ability to develop and to lead a research group, an aptitude and interest for teaching, and good communication skills. </div><br>
