<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div><strong>About the Role</strong></div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, clinically qualified candidate (with an interest in hepatology, hepatobiliary surgery or oncology) to join our established, multi-disciplinary team, to undertake a clinical fellowship in liver cancer early detection. The post is full time, for 3 years, and the successful applicant would be expected to register for a DPhil (PhD). Your fees for the DPhil will be paid.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will play an active role in the execution of clinical studies within DeLIVER (https://deliver.cancer.ox.ac.uk/), a CRUK funded program that seeks to detect hepatocellular liver cancer (HCC) early.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will be responsible for supporting the DeLIVER team in acquiring liver tissue by i) performing fine needle aspirations/liver biopsy, and ii) by liaising with the interventional radiologists and hepatobiliary surgeons. Previous experience in immunology, genomics, or other areas relevant to early cancer detection of liver cancer will be welcomed.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>To be considered for this position you will have GMC registration (candidates must be eligible to undertake clinical practice in the UK), and at least the equivalent of three years&#8217; experience in clinical medicine.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will maintain accurate and detailed research records, acting in the interests of the patients at all times and adhering to good clinical practice.&#160; Laboratory work will be conducted safely and in line with safety operating procedures.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>Application process</strong></div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Only online applications received before midday (UK time) on&#160;Wednesday 14th February 2024&#160;can be considered.</div><br> <div>You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement, CV and the details of two referees as part of your online application.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div> </div>
