The Department of Materials is seeking a Senior HR Officer to join a small
team of HR Professionals. This a full-time permanent position.
You will be a key member of the HR Team, ensuring all aspects of the HR
process for the Department are undertaken to deliver a timely and accurate
service, and ensure confidentiality and integrity of all HR processes. You
will be able to work both independently and collaboratively to deliver the
complete HR service for the Department. You will be a good communicator, have
an excellent eye for detail, have the ability to develop professional and
effective working relationships with key stakeholders and be willing to
undertake professional development and training.
The Senior HR Officer is a varied role providing confidential advice on
employment matters to all levels of staff, overseeing the management of visas
and immigration matters, maintaining all aspects of monthly payroll changes
and HR data on our HRIS system, advising managers on recruitment procedure,
and producing documentation to support every aspect of an individual’s
