We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated person to join the
Humanities HR Shared Service, with responsibility for managing and improving
administrative processes and record-keeping in support of the full life cycle
of academic appointments in the division. This varied and busy role covers a
wide range of procedures around the recruitment, retention and development of
academic staff in Humanities, as well as contributing support to HR activities
within the Divisional Office.
The successful candidate will line manage an HR Administrator, and be expected
to work relatively autonomously within the University and divisional
procedures; exercising discretion in deciding when to refer matters to the
Humanities HR Policy Officer (Academic) or Divisional Registrar/Chief
Operating Officer. This role requires diplomacy, discretion, strong
organisational skills and personal initiative, as well as an eye for detail
and excellent oral and written communication.
