<p></p><div>Are you an experienced Immunologist looking for a new challenge? The Jenner Institute, at the Nuffield Department of Medicine has an exciting and rare opportunity for a Senior Immunologist, to join their team of dedicated researchers, developing novel candidate vaccines for pre-erythrocytic malaria.</div><br>

<div>As Senior Immunologist, you will lead the pre-erythrocytic malaria clinical trials immunology program of research, developing exploratory research questions within the field of vaccinology relevant to the design, evaluating and deploying novel vaccines. You will contribute ideas to funding applications for large awards to support vaccine development programmes. You will provide budgets for immunology for clinical trials for such applications. Manage and monitor research resources, including staffing requirements, and budgets for awarded grants. Other responsibilities will include regularly writing research articles for prestigious journals and reviews, presenting papers at national and international conferences, as well as providing academic supervision for graduate research students, contributing to lectures and class teaching. You will devise research projects for undergraduate students and offer placements where appropriate.</div><br>

<div>To be successful in this role, a PhD/DPhil in immunology with substantial post-doctoral experience is essential. You will have experience of clinical trials immunology, GCP, development of assays to evaluate novel vaccine candidates for pre-erythrocytic malaria, including cellular and humoral immunity and in vitro functional assays. It is essential that you have an established international reputation and publication record in the field of malaria and/or vaccinology, as well as a track record of successful grant applications. You will be able to lead and motivate a team of research staff, and supervise undergraduate and graduate students.</div><br>
