Careers Adviser

This is a rare opportunity for a full-time, permanent, Careers Adviser to join
our team. The successful candidate will primarily provide careers guidance to
our undergraduate and graduate students through 1-1s and group work, engage
closely with 2/3 employment sectors, and liaise with departments, faculties,
and colleges, and secondarily lead the adviser team’s work on supporting
international students and students wishing to pursue their career
internationally.
The successful candidate will hold a degree in any discipline, bring
substantial employment experience in a relevant sector for our clients, and
have appropriate experience in graduate recruitment, careers advice or a
similar discipline ( _for example,_ management training and development).
The Careers Service at Oxford University is one of the more innovative and
engaged such services in the UK. Our mission is to provide and involve all our
clients in a range of high value career-focused services, programmes, and
activities to encourage and enable them to make and implement well-informed
decisions about their careers. We serve current Oxford students (26,000
undergraduates and postgraduates), 4,500 research staff, an international
community of 250,000 alumni, and 12,000 employers and other opportunity
providers. The role is primarily office based, whether at the Careers Service
or in colleges and departments.
