<div>The successful candidate will contribute to the research in the area of organic fluorine chemistry and phase transfer catalysis. The aim of the project is the development of novel catalytic methods for the preparation of fluorinated molecules using cost effective sources of fluoride including metal alkali fluoride.</div><br>

<div>Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry or a related area (or be close to completion) prior to taking up your appointment. You must have expertise in organic chemistry and catalysis.</div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div>You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative duties. This involves project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines. Your will test hypotheses and analyse scientific data from a variety of sources, reviewing and refining working hypotheses as appropriate.</div><br>

<div>This post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Chemistry Research Laboratory, 12 Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TA and is available immediately.</div><br>
