**Philanthropy Executive** (known at Oxford as a ‘Development Executive’):





This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career as part of the
country’s most successful higher education fundraising teams and help address
some of the most urgent global challenges.





**About the role:**





In this role you will deliver fundraising support for the University of
Oxford’s Social Sciences Division, which represents one of the largest
groupings of social scientists in the world. Our leading researchers across 15
departments and schools are addressing a wide range of issues from
environmental change, poverty, economic and political turmoil to social
development.





**About you:**





You will play an active role in continuing the division’s successful
fundraising track-record, focusing on securing support for research
programmes, graduate student support, endowments for key teaching posts and
the development of new facilities.





To be successful you will be an experienced development professional with a
track record in securing major gifts and a confident approach to achieving
ambitious income targets. You will possess diplomacy, creativity and
outstanding communication skills, as well as the ability to operate
comfortably in a large, complex institution with multiple stakeholders.





With an interest in higher education, you will have the ability to engage
others in the goals of the University, and are comfortable working both
independently and as part of a team.
