Software Developer – 3D Image Analysis

The Nuffield Department of Women's & Reproductive Health (NDWRH) have an
exciting opportunity for a Software Developer to join an existing inter-
disciplinary team of engineers and clinicians working on the research and
development of imaging-based clinical tools for the identification of foetal
alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD).





Reporting to Dr Michael Suttie, the post holder will explore new innovative
technologies for 3D image capture, restructuring existing software and
introducing new features. The primary goal of this project is to develop and
build tools that a clinical end user can utilise. Strong software development
skills in Python and/or C++ and coding experience are essential to perform
this role.





The suitable candidate will hold a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or
similar, or equivalent experience in software development. Having a strong
mathematical background with knowledge of 3D geometry, computer vision or
imaging and experience in algorithm design is essential for this role.





This project will appeal to either a research scientist or a developer
interested in working at the interfaces of state-of-the-art deep learning in
medical imaging/computer vision for real-world applications. We are looking
for a person who will enjoy the challenges and rewards of contributing to
research that is trying to impact frontline healthcare services.





The post is offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis, available as soon as
possible, and is fixed for 12 months. Applications for flexible working
