Patient and Public Involvement Coordinator

We are seeking to recruit a proactive and enthusiastic Patient and Public
Involvement Coordinator to join a team based at the Botnar Research Centre,
Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences
(NDORMS), University of Oxford.





A key aspect of this role is supporting the development, implementation and
review of PPI strategies for NDORMS, taking into account priorities, project
requirements, timescales and the resources available. You will plan and
deliver effective and timely PPI activity in line with the Department’s
strategic aims, including setting up structures to facilitate PPI, develop and
maintain a database of interested patients and public locally, including their
preferred types of involvement and health interest. You will support
administration of the policy for payment and expenses for PPI representatives
and work closely with members of the Department to ensure that PPI activity
meets and the requirements of research groups.





You will be educated to a degree level or equivalent. First-hand experience in
a PPI or PPI related role coupled with demonstrable ability to support a range
of successful PPI strategies and activities as well as understanding of public
engagement and PPI in the NHS are essential. Undergraduate or higher degree in
the medical sciences, experience of project management and experience of
working in higher education sector are desirable.





This is a part-time (80% FTE) fixed-term appointment until 31st July 2025 (in
the first instance).
