Director of Operations. Begbroke Science Park

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div><em>We are looking for someone with significant operational and strategic planning experience to enable delivery of the vision for the Oxford University Begbroke Science Park. You will contribute to the strategic management and operation of the Park &#8211; responsible for carrying out the full range of professional managerial duties, including financial control, marketing, personnel, and buildings and infrastructure management, and for line managing the Begbroke Directorate team.</em></div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><em>This is an interesting and varied role, where you will be hands on with the day-to-day operation of the site, as well as contributing to its strategic development. Begbroke is unique amongst Oxfordshire science parks in hosting academic departments from the University. The Director of Operations will need to understand the needs of academic departments, whilst balancing the requirements of the commercial aspect nature of the site.</em></div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><em>This is an exciting time in the history of the site, with two new buildings (an academic and a commercial building) due to open in the next 18 months, doubling the number of people on site. Beyond this, Begbroke has been identified as a key development site under the Cherwell District Local Plan, with ambitions to develop Begbroke as an 'innovation district,' comprising residential, commercial and academic space. The Director of Operations will play a key role in these developments and in evolving the ecosystem and culture of the science park to best support university researchers and high tech R&amp;D companies.&#160;</em></div> </div>
