They will ensure that the eight teams they lead provide a consistently excellent level of service in support of UODO&#8217;s core mission.</div><br> <div>Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer, the Director of Advancement Operations will operate as the de facto Chief Operating Officer for UODO, and take shared responsibility for delivering ambitious philanthropic income targets for the University on an annual basis. As such, the Director of Advancement Services will play a crucial role in supporting the development, launch and delivery of Oxford&#8217;s next multi-billion-pound campaign.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>This role will require close collaboration with senior University officers, and with colleagues across the collegiate University as well as with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Applications are welcome and encouraged from all sectors of the community and we are especially keen to encourage candidates from under-represented groups to apply. The Development Office is committed to equality, and values diversity.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>The Candidate</strong></div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>&#9642;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Significant experience across the board in advancement operations, including proven success in the creation and maintenance of cohesive, high-performing teams</div><br> <div>&#9642;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Confident and credible at a senior level, with the gravitas, expertise and adaptability required to oversee the successful delivery of strategic projects alongside day-to-day operations</div><br> <div>&#9642;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Strong leadership skills, a collaborative management style, and experience of successfully managing staff in a proactive and positive manner</div><br> <div>&#9642;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Ability to collaborate closely with senior leadership, academic, college and development staff with diplomacy, and the aptitude to engage with key stakeholders on common goals in a complex institution, are essential</div><br> <div>&#9642;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; Confidence to navigate and thrive in a complex, fast-moving professional environment</div><br> <div>&#9642;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; A very high level of literary and communication skills, both oral and written</div><br> <div>&#9642;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; A graduate or equivalent, higher education or not-for-profit experience would be helpful</div><br> <div>&#160;</div> </div>
