**About the role**
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Oncology as a
Technician in Cancer Biology.
The major focus of the project is the validation and characterisation of
bispecific agents targeting the tumour stroma, either as monotherapies or
encoded in an oncolytic virus. The primary focus of the appointee will be to
test the established bispecific and oncolytic virus in vivo, including
analysis of its kinetics in syngeneic and xenograft mouse models.
Studies will include reporter genes, such as luciferase, measured using
imaging systems, and therapeutic genes to mediate anticancer efficacy.
The appointee will work alongside Kerry Fisher, Flurin Caviezel and other key
players in the lab.
You will require a good understanding of working with murine tumour models,
and will be responsible for managing a scientific process and, Process
samples, monitor results to spot discrepancies and propose refinements and re-
run experiments where necessary
**About you**
You will have at least two years’ experience working in a laboratory focused
on virology, immunology, biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular or cell
biology. Have experience with murine tumor models, including IT, IV injections
and study design, including a PIL AB certificate.
You will possess the Ability to work as part of a team and manage the day-to-
day running of a research project including assisting the work of junior
researchers.
Hands on experience working with animals.
Experience with biochemical assays is desirable but not essential.
