<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Polymer Chemistry to work under the supervision of Professor Iain McCulloch for a period of up to 12 months.&#160; The research involves working on the design and synthesis of novel organic semiconducting small molecules and polymers for applications such as organic bio-electronics and solar fuels.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Find out more about McCulloch research and group <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.chem.ox.ac.uk/people/iain-mcculloch">here</a></div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry (or be close to completion) prior to taking up your appointment.&#160; The research requires expertise in state-of-the-art metal mediated aromatic carbon &#8211; carbon coupling reactions in the synthesis of conjugated semiconductions polymers and small molecules. Have experience in organic bioelectronics or solar fuels.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Chemistry Research Laboratory, 12 Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TA and is available as soon as possible.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Applications for this vacancy are to be made online and you will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your application.&#160; Your supporting statement must explain how you meet each of the selection criteria for the post using examples of your skills and experience. <strong>Certificates, references and research papers should not be provided at this stage.</strong></div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The closing date for applications is 12.00 midday, Friday, 17 November 2023.
