<p></p><div>Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Porphyrin-Based Molecular Wires and Nanorings to work under the supervision of Professor Harry Anderson for a period of up to 7 months.  The project involves the synthesis and investigation of π-conjugated porphyrin-based molecular wires and nanorings and is funded by the ERC.</div><br>

<div>Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry or a relevant subject area, (or be close to completion) prior to taking up your appointment.  The research requires experience in the synthesis of π-conjugated porphyrin-based macrocycles, annulenes and high molecular weight π-conjugated oligomers.  You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities.  This involves small-scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.</div><br>
<div>The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Chemistry Research Laboratory and is available immediately.</div><br>
