Clinical Research Fellow in Musculoskeletal Trauma (part time)
Fellow in Musculoskeletal Trauma to join the Oxford Trauma group lead by
Professor Matthew Costa at the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics,
Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences, you will be based in Oxford Trauma,
Kadoorie Emergency Care Research Group, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
As a Clinical Research Fellow in Musculoskeletal Trauma your research
activities will focus on complications during and after surgery for hip
fracture. You will design and conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of
complications after hip trauma, you will also conduct a correlation analysis
between complications, outcomes and resource use using the WHiTE cohort data.
You will contribute to the broader research of the Trauma and Emergency Care
Research Group, you will write research papers for submission to peer-reviewed
journals and reports for submission to funders.
You will have a degree in Medicine and you will be registered with General
Medical Council (GMC). You will have demonstrable interest in clinical trials
for hip fracture care together with working knowledge of research publications
in the relevant area. You will be a team player with excellent communication
and time management skills.
This is a part-time (50% FTE) fixed-term appointment until 30/09/2025.
