Senior Postdoctoral Immunologist

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Senior Postdoctoral Immunologist
to join Dr Lisa Stockdale to work within the pre-erythrocytic (PE) malaria and
outbreak pathogens vaccine development clinical trials group at the Jenner
Institute, Nuffield Department of Medicine.
You will be responsible for delivering high quality immunology data for new
and ongoing clinical trials. You will develop research questions and conduct
individual research. You will write research articles at a nation level for
peer-reviewed journals and present papers at national conferences. You will
manage junior team members and agree clear task objectives, organise, and
delegate work. You will assist with clinical trials administration and
recruitment of new staff to the group. You will raise research funds through
grant applications and manage your own area of a larger research budget. You
will share responsibility for shaping the research group’s plan and maintain
confidentiality regarding research data when interacting with non-
collaborating researchers.
It is essential that you hold a relevant PhD/DPhil with post-qualification
research experience. You will have strong publication record and familiarity
with the existing literature and research in the field. You will possess
sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop research projects
and the ability to implement, optimise and standardise assays. You will also
have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Having experience of
managing and analysing large datasets using packages such as R, Stata or
Python is highly desirable.
