Join a small, dynamic team that empowers early-stage innovation and facilitates the exploration and exploitation of new technologies across the University. Your enthusiasm for software development, creating proof of concepts, and staying abreast of new technologies will position you to support activities driving digital innovation and elevating the department's profile in this domain.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>As a Business Technologist (Digital Innovation), you will play a pivotal role in the Digital Innovation Team within the central IT Services department. Operating the Digital Innovation Lab, your responsibilities will include:</div><br> <ul><br> <li>Managing equipment, evaluating and promoting new technologies, setting up demos, planning and delivering workshops and training events, engaging with staff and students to promote innovation, and networking with other innovation centres.</li><br> <li>We embrace agile, fail-fast, and design-thinking approaches, placing user experience at the core of our endeavors.</li><br> </ul><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Reporting to the Head of Digital Innovation, you'll collaborate closely with department members and University stakeholders. This role emphasizes technical implementation, quick prototypes, programming, and active participation in requirements gathering, specification, design, and training delivery.</div><br> <div>&#160;<br> <br>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>About You</strong></div><br> <div>If you're a highly skilled and enthusiastic Business Technologist specializing in Digital Innovation, capable of managing the operations of our Digital Innovation Lab, and supporting your Line Manager in identifying new technologies and emerging business trends, we want to hear from you. Your expertise in evaluating new ideas, developing proof of concepts, and managing lab equipment is crucial.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You should be adept at building apps and websites, with proficiency in web and mobile technologies, AI tools, social media, and an understanding of the intricate relationship between data, digital, and innovation.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>If creative problem-solving, working independently or collaboratively, and driving digital innovation in a dynamic and collaborative environment excites you, we look forward to receiving your application.</div><br> <div>&#160;<br> <br>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>Application Process</strong></div><br> <div>You will be required to upload a cover letter/supporting statement, CV and the details of two referees as part of your online application.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The closing date for applications is <strong>noon</strong> on <strong>Monday 19 February 2024.</strong></div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>Interviews</strong> will take place on <strong>Friday 1 March 2024</strong> and take place in person in Central Oxford.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Join us in shaping the future of digital innovation at the University of Oxford!</div> </div>
