<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div><strong>About the role</strong></div><br> <div>The School of Archaeology is looking to recruit a Departmental Lecturer in Archaeomaterials to join our small and friendly team in the The School of Archaeology (SoA) and Research Laboratory for Archaeology and the History of Art (RLAHA). This full-time post is a fixed-term contract for 2.5 years.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Reporting to Professor Shadreck Chirikure (Director of RLAHA) and Professor Mike Charles (Professor of Environmental Archaeology, Institute of Archaeology), you will engage in advanced study and primarily lecture and teach undergraduate and graduate students in archaeomaterials. You will also provide support for staff and students in all elements of microscopy work across the School of Archaeology, as well as conduct independent research in the Archaeomaterials Laboratory.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The postholder will be expected to spend on average about 1 day per week in the Institute of Archaeology, the remainder of their time in the Research Laboratory for Archaeology and the History of Art.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>About you</strong></div><br> <div>You will have a relevant postgraduate qualification (preferably a doctorate), extensive&#160;experience of operating a scanning electron microscope and light microscopes,&#160;experience of teaching and research, knowledge in the subject to develop course materials&#160;and research proposals on archaeomaterials, publication record and familiarity with the&#160;existing literature and research in archaeomaterials. You will also have excellent</div><br> <div>communication and organisational skills and good attention to detail.
