<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>We have an opportunity for a Postdoctoral Researcher role in Clinical Sample Collections for Infectious Disease Translational Immunology, joining the group at CAMS Oxford Institute, Nuffield Department of Medicine.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will be responsible for designing and ethically approval of new sampling strategies to target stablished or emerging infections such as influenza, respiratory syncytial virus or other unknown pathogens. You will be liaising with members of the Dong, Knight, Screaton, Mentzer groups and collaborators working as a part of an interdisciplinary team. You will provide help in the supervision, education, training and act as a source of information and advice to other members of the group. You will be involved in design and undertaking targeted immunology experiments using historically and contemporaneously collected samples. You will also manage your own academic research and admirative activities.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>It is essential that you hold a PhD/DPhil (or close to completion) in immunology, genetics, bioinformatics, molecular biology or a related field with a demonstrable interest in the research described herein. You will have experience in standard immunology, molecular biology and genomics laboratory techniques. You will be able to demonstrate a high level of communication skills both written and oral together with ability to work effectively within a team. Having experience of lab management is desirable.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Applications for this vacancy are to be made online and you will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application.
