The role offers the opportunity for involvement at the heart of the Department in a busy, challenging and changing environment. The post holder will run the office of the Head of Department and also support the Head of Administration and Finance in the organisation and governance of the Department and the promulgation of departmental culture.</div><br> <div>This challenging and responsible role requires high level administrative and project management skills combined with a professional, proactive and flexible approach to work, to ensure that critical tasks are properly communicated, followed through, and achieved in a timely manner. This position requires a high degree of interpersonal skills to relate to and communicate with all levels within the Department, University and external agencies.</div><br> <div>This is a full-time and permanent post based at Department of Oncology, Old Road Campus Research Building, Oxford OX3 7DQ.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>About you</strong></div><br> <div>You will be educated to degree level or have extensive relevant experience working in a broad range of environments. You will have experience of diary management, including making complex travel arrangements. You will have demonstrable evidence of managing a team including their performance and development. You will have the experience, skills and attributes to handle a wide range of complex and confidential information with discretion, tact and diplomacy and to be comfortable with change and shifting priorities. Experience of working in a University research, clinical department or Hospital setting and experience with research reporting systems will be advantageous.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>Application Process</strong></div><br> <div>Applications for this vacancy need to be made online.
