We are seeking a full-time HR Officer to join the Department of Physics on a
permanent basis.
The Department of Physics at Oxford University is one of the largest and most
highly respected of its kind and the HR function is an essential part of the
overall administration for over 500 academics, researchers, technicians and
support staff.
You will possess a professional approach to providing high levels of customer
service and building relationships with stakeholders. Have sound knowledge of
UK employment law and UKVI regulations. HR experience at the University of
Oxford or other Higher Education institutions, experience of using PeopleXD,
and an understanding of the principles of Athena SWAN are highly desirable.
The successful candidate will report to the Deputy HR Manager and will be
expected to be adaptable and have strong administrative and organisational
skills with demonstrable HR experience, in order to be able to manage a busy
and varied workload, as part of a friendly team.
The HR Officer will be responsible for managing all PeopleXD processes and
functions, ensuring that these are effective and compliant. You will have
oversight of two HR Assistants and work alongside another HR Officer in order
to provide the best possible service to all staff in the Department on the
full employee life-cycle.
You will be required to upload a covering letter or supporting statement
describing how past experience fit with the advertised position, as well as a
