The University of Oxford Finance Division is seeking a skilled and experienced
International Payments Specialist to join our dedicated Payments Team. This
challenging role entails managing a high volume of international transactions
and ensuring compliance with regulations and University policies.





**Role Overview:

**





As an International Payments Specialist, you will play a vital role in
overseeing the accurate and timely processing of international payments, while
adhering to complex regulatory frameworks. Your expertise in banking systems
and procedures, particularly in the realm of international transactions, will
be crucial in facilitating smooth payment processes and resolving any issues
that may arise.





**Key Responsibilities:**





* Manage international payment transactions, ensuring compliance with University policies, International Sanctions Regimes, and Anti-Money Laundering Regulations.


* Investigate and resolve issues related to rejected or missing payments, liaising with beneficiaries and suppliers worldwide.


* Maintain financial records to ensure audit trail compliance and accuracy.


* Provide expert advice and support to University departments on international payment processes and procedures.


* Promote and maintain a high-quality service to departmental customers, addressing queries and providing timely assistance.


* Utilize technology, including Oracle Financials, banking software, Excel, Word, and email, for various tasks.




**Selection Criteria:**





_Essential:_





* Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach.


* Effective communication skills across all channels.


* Strong customer focus and service orientation.


* Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.


* Specialist knowledge of banking systems and procedures, particularly in international payments.


* Experience in a high-volume transaction processing environment with multiple currencies.


* Proficiency in finance systems, preferably with exposure to Oracle Financials.


* In-depth understanding of International Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Regulations.


* Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.




_Desirable:_





* Part qualified AAT or equivalent.


* Experience in the Higher Education Sector.


* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.


* Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative.
