We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and approachable individual to join the
Research Office at Saïd Business School. This role is crucial in providing
administrative support for the School’s research community, ensuring a
welcoming, collaborative and well-resourced environment. The Research Office
supports our diverse community by offering practical help and advice,
coordinating ethics applications, providing administrative support for
research projects, and overseeing research contracts and funding applications.
This position focuses on post-award administration and strategic projects,
reporting to the experienced Research and Impact Facilitator, and working
closely with colleagues within the School and the wider University.





Key responsibilities





* Provide support to award holders, particularly concerning progress, spending and reporting requirements.


* Administer the Research Assistance Support Team (RAST) and schedule projects for full-time research assistants.


* Compile reports on research funding, strategic projects and other matters as required.


* Assist in external accreditation exercises or evaluations, such as the Research Excellence Framework.


* Assist with the planning and delivery of induction sessions, workshops and other events for the research community.




You will have excellent numerical and financial skills, particularly in data
manipulation and presentation using spreadsheets. You must also possess highly
developed IT skills for using various computerised systems and data sources,
and demonstrate keen attention to detail in drafting, proofing and formatting
documents.
