**About the role**
The Department of Social Policy and Intervention is seeking a Research Officer
to assist in the evaluation of the National Start for Life Programme with a
specific focus on the use of skill mix workforces and implementation of a
practice elements approach on supporting responsive caregiving of 0-2 year
olds. This role requires experience of collecting and analysing qualitative
data from a range of early years/0-5 stakeholders including service users and
providers/managers. The Research Officer will be supported by, and report to
the lead for this part of the programme of research, as well as be a member of
the larger friendly research team. The Research Officer will also provide
advice and guidance to research students where appropriate.
**About you**
You will be working toward a doctorate in a related discipline with specialist
knowledge in the field of evaluating early years interventions. The ability to
manage your own research and administrative activities and excellent
communications skills are essential, along with experience of working with
practitioners in the field. Experience of working in a research team and
contributing to publications are also desirable.
